Provided Equal Treatment of Civil Society Organizations – Social Care Service Providers within the Corporate Profit Tax Law
After two years of advocating for legislative changes focused on removing unequal treatment of civil society organizations – social care service providers, Trag Foundation has succeeded to ensure equal treatment of social care service providers through adoption of Law on Amandments to the Legal Entity Tax Law, adopted on December 29th 2015 by parliament members in National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Vote of community for Active Communities
Active Communities call for applications has generated 120 project proposals.

In the first round, the staff of Trag has reviewed all proposals and in consultations with local advisors shortlisted 20 projects of highest quality. While local Trag advisors visit shortlisted groups/organizations, to prepare recommendations based on both project proposal and interview with members of groups/organizations, there is an ongoing on-line voting on the web site of Trag Foundation. Launched the “InfoPark” for refugee support
Fund B92 and Trag Foundation, with the support of the City of Belgrade, launched “InfoPark” in the form of a wooden hut counter, located in the park near the Bus station.

“InfoPark” is a contact and information point aiming to provide refugees with the key service and guidance necessary for their stay in Belgrade and safer continuation of their journey.

NINTH VIRTUS COMPETITION LAUNCHED – AWARD FOR THOSE WHO CARE
Trag foundation, with support from the European Union, Balkan Trust for Democracy and in direct partnership with USAID, launches the competition for VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy on September 10th 2015. Competition is open for all domestic and foreign companies, corporations, public and state enterprises, small and medium enterprises, media companies, corporate foundations and individuals. The competition is not open to non-profit organizations, public institutions and administrative authorities although they have the right to nominate candidates for the award. Deadline for applications is October 22th, 2015.

Philanthropy for Green Ideas
The fourth Regional forum of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund awarded the best three business ideas based on the principles of sustainable development, from the Western Balkans region. The Forum took place at National park Prokletije in Kosovo in the period from July 24th to July 26th 2015. The prizes in the amount of 10.000 US dollars were awarded to projects that contribute the most to economic development through innovative, sustainable and ecological local business, according to the opinion of the independent international jury.

Trag Foundation is proud to announce the new member of our Board of Directors as of July 3, 2015. Miša Lukić is President of the Management Board & Co-owner at MMS Communications Serbia / Publicis Group Serbia (Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi& Saatchi) and one of the most prominent leaders in the marketing communications industry in Serbia and the SEE region. 

Miša is also recognized in the community as a dedicated donor and thought-leader to many charity initiatives, including receiving the recognition from the “Battle for the Babies” campaign. He is a co-founder and Secretary General of the “Good Voice” charity. New Deadline for September Round of Active Communities Program
There is an ongoing call for Trag Foundation's program Active Communities. Eligible to apply for Active Communities program are local organizations and informal groups of citizens of Serbia with maximum budget amount of 350.000,00 dinars.Special attention would be given to the projects with activities directed towards children without parental care.
New deadline for submitting project proposals is September 3rd 2015 till 17 hours.

Lurban fest in Lučane
Lučani is one of the active communities this summer, as dense cultural program of Lurban festival gathers large number of  Lučani citizens, especially young people.
The exhibition of children's art works created during Lurban festivas was open on Wednesday, July 8th in front of the Cultural center in  Lučani.  Lučani citizens, as well as visitors of this beautiful town in western Serbia had the opportunity to see models, modern design dresses out of recycling materials, small sculptures, watercolors and many other art pieces created by chidlren from  Lučani during art workshops that took place in July.

Zmaj no 73 and they will be used for the center's activities, but also for activities of young people and all those willing to gather, learn, work and develop their ideas.

USAID and Trag Foundation lauch project to promote local fhilanthropy across Serbia
On Monday, July 13, the Trag Foundation and USAID formally launched a new two- year “Philanthropy for Local Communities” project, worth nearly $326,000 USD. At the ceremony, the Trag Foundation signed contracts with project partners: the Catalyst Foundation, Iskorak Foundation, Front Foundation, Moonlight Foundation and Obrenovac Youth Foundation and the first group of ten local civil society organizations. These partners will promote local philanthropy and raise funds in their communities to support and help solve local problems.

Association of citizens Vrbas educational center has announced the beginning of the project "I'm putting in order what bothers me, for better world and Kucura community", that will include educational workshops and  renovation of public spaces, as well as reconstruction of the summer stage in  Kucura downtown, which has been marked during press conference as the main goal of the project. The official opening of the stage will be marked by concert for young people.

RECIKLI(G)RAM – Recycle and Play - Building playgrounds from old tires
Jagodina village Ribare will host realization of the project RECIKLI(G)RAM – Recycle and Play - Building playgrounds from old tires, as well as establishment of recycling courtyard. Project will last till November.
Ribare should get swings, seesaws, slides, benches and other playground equipment in three locations in the village. Recycling courtyard will have containers for municipal waste, PET bottles, ALU cans and cardboard. After collecting waste, material will be transported to recycling factories, and funds gathered in such way will be used for establishment of new playgrounds and other activities for children.

Open call for program manager in Trag Foundation
Trag Foundation has recently joined with the OAK Foundation in Switzerland, to work as its regional partner on the Issues Affecting Women Program (IAWP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. The IAWP strategy focuses on four program areas: building women’s movements; intra-familial violence; trafficking & exploitation; and violence in situations of crisis. The IAWP contributes to strengthening organizations that deal with the above mentioned issues through grants, organizational development support and networking. To successfully implement the program, Trag is looking for a candidate to perform the task of Program Manager.

Delta Foundation's Project “Plantation for the Future” Supports Six Initiatives
Yesterday Delta Foundation has signed donation contracts with representatives of six initiatives within the project “Plantation for the Future”,  that aims to improve primary agricultural production in Serbia and to ensure employment of population categories which are more difficult to employ.
Contracts were signed with: “Caritas” from Šabac, “New Bridges” from Surčin, “Let's shake” from Zemun, agricultural cooperative “Pro femina” from Užice, Red Cross from Smederevo and “Let's Keep the Village” from Priboj.

The total amount of awarded grants is 7.5 million dinars, and technical support in project implementation is provided by Trag Foundation.

Trag Foundations, partnership with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and ERSTE bank, organizes National Forum for "Green Ideas" for the third year in a row, and this year 86 applications have arrived. 39 individuals, 34 citizens' associations, 8 entrepreneurs, 2 farms, 2 companies and one cooperative submitted applications.
Up to 12 selected applicants will present their project ideas to the Selection Committee during National forum, a one day event that will be organized on June 30th in Belgrade.

On Friday, May 29th, Obrenovac Youth Foundation has opened its renovated and equipped community center for young people by presenting photo exhibition named "Obrenovac Monitors Dams", implemented with support from Trag Foundation.
With the project "Obrenovac Monitors Dams" Foundation aims to instigate citizens to actively participate in resolving problems within community, and to monitor restoration of dams and embankments in Obrenovac and in that way monitor and supervise activities of competent authorities in recovery of May floods damages.

The Bosnian proverb "the one that has - does not give, the one that has learned to give - does" is the best description of the work of  Svetlana Urošević from Grocka, the winner of the first VIRTUS Award for individual contribution to philanthropy. Svetlana has received an award for initiating and conducting over 100 actions in the area of health protection, social inclusion, animal protection and support to families from affected areas. It is estimated that she alone provided more than 30.000 Eur for realization of these initiatives in the last year.

Presented Prototype of the Innovative Circulating Dryer for Fruits, Vegetables and Herbs
The family company "Agro Integral" has presented the prototype of innovative dryer for fruits, vegetables, and herbs, as well as the business model of the rural development based on this product. The presentation took place on April 17th in Knić.
Innovative circulating dryer will enable small farmers to dry their products quickly and efficiently, within their household, while unique business model that includes dispersive production and joining of the final product provides possibility of simple and easy product placement.

The official presentation of the last year's winning idea of the regional Green Ideas Forum - the prototype of the innovative dryer for fruits, vegetables and herbs - will take place on April 17th in village Bečevica, near Knić.
The prototype of the innovative dryer for fruits, vegetables and herbs is developed as part of the project supported by Trag Foundation in partnership with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF), Erste Bank, US Agency for International Development (USAID) and Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), within last year's Forum for "Green Ideas".

Announced: Winners of 2014 VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy
The winners of VIRTUS Award for Philanthropy for initiatives and programs conducted in 2014, have been announced during the official ceremony held at Metropol Palace hotel in Belgrade. Hosts of the ceremony were Kori Udovički, Deputy Minister for Public Administration and Local Self-Governanace and Ambassador Michael Davenport, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia. Awards are presented in 5 categories, introducing the Award for individual contribution to philanthropy for the first time. Due to high quality programs and projects implemented in 2014, jury has decided to award 4 special recognitions.

VIRTUS Award Ceremony on March 28th 2015
We are announcing that VIRTUS Award Ceremony will take place on March 28th 2015, in hotel Metropol Palace, exactly at noon. The main prizes will be awarded by Kori Udovički, Deputy Prime Minister, and the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in the Government of Serbia and Ambassador Michael Davenport, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia. Call for nominations was opened on January 12th, 2015 and lasted until February 12th, 2015. Although the number of categories was decreased this year, we have received a great number of applications and the jury had a demanding task to select the winners. VIRTUS jury is made out of prominent individuals and experts from business, civil sector, media and marketing.

Trag and Oak Foundation Support Women's Organizations in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina
At the end of 2014, Trag has established partnership with Oak Foundation, private foundation consisting of several philanthropic organizations throughout the world. For years, Oak Foundation conducts program of support to women's groups and other civil society organizations for building women's movement, combating violence against women and trafficking in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There is an ongoing call for proposals for Active Communities program.

Local associations and informal groups of citizens could apply project proposals for Active Communities program with the maximum budget amount of 350.000,00 dinars.

Trag Collected Nearly 5 Million Dinars to Support Flooded Communities
During May 2014 floods befell Serbia and many local communities were in danger. Trag Foundation reacted promptly and supported civil society organizations that actively helped in recovery of flood affects. Also, Trag has redirected the purpose of its account for "general support" and donations collected through this account were used to support local organizations involved in cleaning and recovery of endangered communities.

Held Conference "Let's Not Forget Those Who Forget"
During the press conference regarding the celebration of International Human Rights Day, that took place on December 9th in Media Center in Belgrade, in organization of association "The Power of Friendship" - Amity, participants have emphasized the significance of protection and respect of rights of elderly people, as a way of support to elderly citizens to have dignified and safe lives as equal members of society.
